Prevention of Head Lice

If you’ve experienced head lice in your family or know someone who has, you’ll know how important it is to prevent them altogether, or to find and treat them early. However, head lice treatment should never be used unless a live head louse has been found. Unfortunately, even if you’ve successfully treated a head lice infestation before, this doesn’t mean that you or your family won’t catch them again. If anyone in your family comes into close contact with someone who has head lice, e.g. at school, there is always a risk of catching them again, unless you take precautions.

It’s important to conduct regular weekly checks for head lice to make sure that you can treat an infestation as soon as possible, should you find a live head louse. Lyclear advises checking for head lice on the same day and time every week, to make it part of your routine.
